SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE OR VULNERABLE ADULTS

  • About

    The course will equip participants with the skills and information necessary to make a difference in the life of a vulnerable person or a child or young person. It will also instruct anyone reporting abuse on how to protect themselves while seeking assistance and reporting the incident.

  • Who is this for

    This course is intended for anyone, regardless of the field in which they work.

  • Topics to be covered:

    • Safeguarding legislation and guidance
      • Indictors of abuse or neglect
      • Making judgements
      • Communication
      • Roles and responsibilities
      • Sharing of information
      • Dealing with and reporting allegations and complaints
  • Certification

    Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will receive an Ofqual National Level 3 Award.

  • Numbers

    A maximum of 12 students can take this course at any one time. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify.

  • Assessment

    A range of methods are used, including, practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).
