The First Aid for Youth Mental Health is an appropriate qualification for anyone who connects with children, including parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders, and young adults. The qualification has been developed with children and young people in mind, covering topics such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and bullying. It will provide the knowledge and skills needed to recognise a potential mental health condition, begin a conversation about it, and provide support and guidance towards professional help.
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will receive an Ofqual National Level 2 Award.
A maximum of 12 students can take this course at any one time. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify.
Assessment uses a range of methods, including multiple-choice questions and practical assessment.
